EVERGRANDE (03333.HK) 0.000 (0.000%) announced that Chau Shing Yim, who was an independent non-executive director of the company according to the register of directors, has resigned due to his other business engagements, and therefore ceased to be the chairman and a member of the audit committee, and a member of the nomination committee of the Company, all with effect on 31 May.
Upon the resignation of Chau, the number of independent non-executive directors, the members of the audit committee and the members of the nomination committee of the company fell below the minimum requirements under Rules 3.10, 3.21 and 3.27A of the Listing Rules. Therefore, the company is not in compliance with the requirements under the Listing Rules.
Trading in the shares of EVERGRANDE has been suspended with effect from 10:18 am on 29 January and will remain suspended until further notice.
