BIDU-SW (09888.HK) +2.300 (+2.366%) Short selling $207.79M; Ratio 14.637% recently launched an AI digital human social App called “Wen Xiaoyan”, Chinese media reported. The product is based on the technology of the ERNIE Bot foundation model and is an AI application service that allows users to communicate, interact and establish emotional bonds with AI virtual characters in real time.

“Wen Xiaoyan” is purportedly not much different from similar AI chat products in terms of gameplay and functions, but it uses simulated digital people as AI social objects. Each AI digital person can provide unique chat services, and respond like a real person through body language such as lip movements, shrugging shoulders, and body shaking. It can be a user's encyclopedia, a user's life assistant, or a spiritual mentor.

On the interface of each digital person in “Wen Xiaoyan”, users can see a realistic moving digital human figure, as well as information about their age, place, personality, occupation, etc., as well as a voice introduction. However, the digital people still have some hiccups with their body language and gestures, and they do not support the creation of exclusive digital people by users, which may reduce user enthusiasm.
