Hong Kong shares sank at the open on Friday, despite another positive lead from Wall Street and ahead of crucial US inflation data due later in the day.
The Hang Seng Index fell 0.8 percent, or 133 points, to 17,583.
The Shanghai Composite Index slipped 0.2 percent, or 5.6 points, to 2,940, while the Shenzhen Composite Index shed 0.3 percent, or 5.1 points, to 1,608. (AFP)
