Data released by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) showed that in the first three weeks of July, the passenger vehicle market retailed 934,000 units, up 1% YoY but down 2% MoM. The cumulative retail sales of passenger cars this year totalled 10.774 million units, a 3% YoY increase.
Retail sales of passenger NEVs in the first three weeks of July increased by 26% YoY to 461,000 units, down 2% MoM. Year to date, the cumulative retail sales of passenger NEVs reached 4.574 million cars, hiking 32% YoY.

In the first three weeks of July, manufacturers wholesaled 843,000 passenger cars, falling 13% YoY and 17% MoM. The cumulative wholesale sales total so far this year was 12.595 million vehicles, a growth of 5% YoY.
China's passenger car makers wholesaled 437,000 new energy vehicles in the first three weeks of July, rising 11% YoY but falling down 14% MoM. Year-to-date, the cumulative total of wholesale sales reached 5.057 million units, lifting 28% YoY.
