Hong Kong stocks fell on Tuesday as investors pondered the prospect of a Donald Trump victory in the US presidential election in November.
The Hang Seng Index dropped 170 points, or 0.95 percent, to open at 17,845 points.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index was down 0.34 percent to open at 2,963 points and the Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.21 percent lower at 8,783 points. (Xinhua)
