HK Express Apologizes for Requesting 2 Visually Impaired People to Leave Aircraft for Safety Reason

　　Hong Kong Express (HK Express), a subsidiary of CATHAY PAC AIR (00293.HK) 0.000 (0.000%) Short selling $8.63M; Ratio 10.629% , recently received complaints from two visually impaired people who, after boarding a HK Express' flight at the end of May, were asked to leave the plane by cabin crew on reasons such as they did not meet safety standards and overselling of the flight before takeoff. After the Civil Aviation Department (CAD)'s co-ordination, the two passengers were eventually diverted to another HK Express flight that night.

　　HK Express apologized for the delay and inconvenience caused to passengers, and said that it would make compensation and review the situation accordingly. However, it reiterated that only about 70% of the seats of the aircraft in question had been sold, and denied that the flight was oversold.
