The Hong Kong market opened slightly higher on Friday, with investors focusing on US payroll data for June for cues when the Federal Reserve will cut interest rates this year.
The Hang Seng Index rose 7.49 points, or 0.04 percent, to 18,035.77 in the opening minutes.
The Shanghai Composite Index was down 0.11 percent, opening at 2,954.37, and the Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.1 percent lower at 8,664.8. (Xinhua)
