CLSA released a research report estimating that HKEX (00388.HK) -3.200 (-1.357%) Short selling $244.29M; Ratio 23.510% will post a 9% YoY increase in revenue and an 11% YoY growth in net profit after tax in 2Q24, mainly due to an incline in its revenue from trading and clearing fees.
Although the presidency of Donald Trump may bring macro adjustments and turbulence, CLSA believed that the Fed's strategic shift will be favorable to liquidity.
CLSA also raised its FY2024/ FY2025 earnings forecasts for HKEX by 6%/ 2% each to reflect the YTD market data. The broker also lifted its target price from $285 to $287, with rating kept at Outperform.
