BIDU-SW (09888.HK) Opens 'ERNIE 4.0 Turbo' to Enterprise Customers, Cuts Price for Flagship Models

　　Baidu AI Cloud, a subsidiary of BIDU-SW (09888.HK) +0.150 (+0.174%) Short selling $104.79M; Ratio 30.808% (BIDU.US) , announced that the latest flagship version of its ERNIE foundation model series, ERNIE 4.0 Turbo, will be fully open to enterprise customers.

　　Xie Guangjun, Vice President of BIDU, disclosed that the average daily call volume of ERNIE foundation models has exceeded 500 million times, with a 150% QoQ growth in 2Q24. It has served 150,000 enterprise users and has helped users fine-tune 21,000 custom foundation models and develop 550,000 AI native applications. He considered this to be reflective that ERNIE foundation models have truly entered the stage of exponential growth.

　　Currently, ERNIE 4.0 Turbo charges enterprise customers as low as RMB 0.03 and RMB 0.06 per 1,000 Tokens for input and output respectively.

　　In addition, Baidu AI Cloud announced that the price of 2 flagship models, ERNIE 4.0 and ERNIE 3.5, would be significantly reduced, while 2 other mainstream models, ERNIE Speed and ERNIE Lite, will continue to be free of charge. The subsidiary believed this would further help customers lower the threshold of using foundation models and the cost of trial and error, accelerating business innovation.
