China's National Press and Publication Administration (NPPA) announced the latest approval status of domestic online games. Following a drop in the number of approved games to less than 100 in April and May, the number rebounded to 104 games in June, bringing the cumulative number of approved games in 1H24 to 628. The monthly average number of approved games is higher than that of about around 80 in 2023, and the market expected that there will be between 1,200 and 1,500 games approved for the whole of 2024.
