It was rumoured last month that self-driving rideshare cars of Apollo Go in Wuhan stopped in front of green lights and rushed into the middle of the road at red lights, causing traffic congestion and resulting in the company being summoned by the city's authorities.

Apollo Go subsequently clarified that the relevant rumour was false and a malicious complaint. After verification and collection of evidence, the company confirmed that the claims seriously differed from the facts.
